I am an organizer with a decade of experience supporting movements for social and economic justice. For five years, I was the Director of Partnerships for the Poor People’s Campaign. I now work with the Kairos Center on a special project to counter the power of Christian nationalism. I have a forthcoming book titled You Only Get What You’re Organized to Take: Lessons from the Movement to End Poverty (Beacon Press), co-written with Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis. I also sit on the board of ESCR-Net (International Network for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights).

Alongside my work as an organizer, I support movements and their leaders as a writer and editor. I’ve ghostwritten and drafted dozens of op-eds and essays. I’ve edited organizational copy and public-facing documents, including groundbreaking reports, as well as multiple books by organizers, activists, and faith leaders. â€‹I’m a careful listener, a strategic summarizer, and I’m equally comfortable writing from the head and the heart. I love figuring out how to make complicated ideas feel simple and irresistible.
